Trautman Red Elvis - Odd Thin Stringers Odd Quality Stringer / Thin Rod Red Elvis

Red Elvis is Trautman's self-striking ruby — it comes up red as it cools without a separate strike step, and pushes darker if you strike it deliberately in the flame or in the kiln. It strikes in an oxidizing atmosphere at a slightly lower temperature than most rubies, so keep the flame neutral to oxidizing and don't overcook it. These are hand-pulled 2mm-3mm stringers, ready to use for line work without pulling your own. Odd quality means the glass is chemically identical to first quality but cosmetically imperfect or off-diameter, sold at a discount; odd stock cannot be backordered.
