Northstar layers TAG-032 Heavy Blue Stardust over an NS-63 Canary yellow core, so the sparkle work is already done for you. The outer layer is a transparent dark sapphire aventurine packed with big, dichro-like glitter that reads rich and moody in natural light, and wherever the yellow underneath pushes through you get a bright electric green. Odd quality means the tube is cosmetically imperfect or off-diameter - the glass chemistry is identical to first quality, you just pay less for it. Second quality carries heavier cosmetic flaws than odd - expect bubbles, striations or surface defects - so it is best where the surface gets reworked, encased, or hidden inside the piece. Both work exactly like first quality in the torch. As with any aventurine, avoid long hot garaging. Northstar report the color is stable in implosions and encasements. Because this tubing is hand pulled, sizing will vary.
