Northstar Glassworks borosilicate color rod and frit, made in Oregon for COE 33 boro work. Northstar's palette spans opaques, transparents, striking colors, and silver-rich formulas used for fuming-style effects. Rods suit torch work from small jewelry to large pipe and sculpture pieces; frit in multiple grades works for surface rolls, color blending, and encasement.

First Quality rods are the standard production grade. When choosing a color, check whether it is a striking formula — striking colors develop their final hue with heat and flame chemistry rather than showing it in the raw rod.
