Galaxy is a dense Jet Black base packed with Trautman Stardust sparkle, then encased in clear Simax so the glitter sits under a bright, mirror-smooth surface that works easily and resists chipping. Odd quality is the same glass as first quality, but cosmetically imperfect or off-diameter — surface marks, wall variation, or a bend that kept it out of the first-quality bin. Second quality carries heavier cosmetic flaws than odd — bubbles, striations, seeds or wall inconsistency — so it is best where the surface gets reworked, cut into, or buried under another layer. In both grades the color and the sparkle are unchanged; only the cosmetics are. Northstar recommends pre-heating this tube in the kiln for 20-30 minutes before you take it to the torch. Because this tubing is hand pulled, sizing will vary. Odd and second quality cannot be backordered.
