Northstar Exp. #195 Big Bird (EXP195) - Second Standard

Variant details: Second Standard — Quality: Second Quality, Form: Rod, Rod Type: Standard Rod, Color Variant: Exp 195 Big Bird.

Exp. #195 Big Bird is a dense, highly saturated cadmium yellow that Northstar developed as a bolder alternative to their classic NS-063 Canary. It is a slightly darker, richer yellow with more opacity and color density, which makes it an excellent choice for vacuum-stacked lined tubing, millefiori, thin applications and detailed work where you want strong saturation. Working note: Big Bird is an advanced, heat-sensitive color. Because it is a dense cadmium formula, preheat it slowly and evenly in a cool, gentle flame and raise the heat gradually. Aggressive or prolonged heat can make it boil or scar the surface. A Northstar Glassworks experimental color, available in first, odd and second quality.
