Salted Butter is a soft, creamy pale yellow built on a Star White base, with warm ivory undertones and a smooth, velvety surface that reads as buttercream rather than a saturated yellow. Northstar notes that this color naturally runs anywhere from white to a popcorn yellow, and this transitional stock sits at the pale end of that range - hence Precision's "lightly salted" label. Transitional glass is drawn at the start or end of a production run, so shade can shift between batches and between rods in the same bundle. If you need a guaranteed match across a whole piece, buy first quality NS-158 instead.
