The cut ends and short usable lengths left over from Northstar's Simax encased Cherry WonderTube. Cherry is a deep, saturated red, and the clear Simax jacket is the point of the product - it keeps the red from scuzzing or bubbling at the surface and lets you soak in real heat while you shape it. Knuckles and shorts are sold by weight in mixed lengths: the same glass as the full tube at a fraction of the price, for small work, test pulls and offhand bits.
