Northstar Blue Moon (45) - Second Thin Stringers Second Quality Stringer / Thin Rod Blue Moon

Blue Moon is one of Northstar's most-used striking colours, and in 2-3 mm stringer it gives you that whole range in line width. Push it oxidizing for bright metallic blues, run it neutral for hazy greens, or reduce it hard for ash greys and sea greens - the same stringer, three different results. It encases well, and a coat of clear or NS-009 Yellow over the top opens the colour up further. Second quality stringer has heavier cosmetic flaws and more variation from rod to rod than first quality, which barely matters for a colour you are striking anyway.
