Opaline Odd Quality Rod
Opaline is a colaboration experiment between Gaffer Glass and Northstar Glassworks. Northstar believes this striking color has a place in the boro palette but it does have its own unique working characteristics. In an effort to push opacity they've discovered Opaline has shortened thermal elasticity. What this means in front of the torch is a sensitivity to heat application and loss. From our experience, you have to either work Opaline faster or reheat it more often than other colors. It looks great encased in clear and mixed or layered with other colors. IF you have any feedback on Opaline please pass it on to Northstar Glassworks.
